I was at the Smithsonian twice to learn UCE library preparation and enrichment steps. My labmate, Silas Bossert, and I were trained by Bonnie Blaimer, who is an excellent instructor. It was great working with her and Seán Brady!

Logan, Utah : Utah State University

USU museum and USDA Bee Lab

Silas and I went to Logan to sort through wasp and bee museum collections and gather specimens for the aculeate UCE phylogenomics project. We also did some collecting while we were there. Thanks to James Pitts for hosting us!
